NaNoWriMo Update

Well, since Friday afternoon, I've written a little over 4,000 words for my NaNoWriMo novel challenge. Only 46,000 more to go by the end of the month. So far I'm finding the biggest challenge to be resisting editing as I go. I normally edit as I go, but the idea behind this project is quantity over quality...you can always go back and edit when you're done.

Another cool thing with NaNoWriMo is that you can sign up with regional groups, and various subgroups with a region hold write-ins throughout the week. I'm participating in one today.

Now, for a little humor.

Hung Chow calls into work and says, "Hey boss, I no come work today. I really sick. Got headache, stomach ache, and legs hurt. I no come work."

The boss says, "Hung Chow, I really need you today. You know, when I feel sick like you do, I go to my wife and ask her to give me sex. That makes everything better and I go to work. You try that."

Hung Chow says, "Okay boss. I try."

Two hours later Hung Chow calls again. "Hello boss. I do what you say and I feel great. I be at work soon. By the way, you got nice house."


And with that, I'm off to my writing group.
